My biggest dream is to travel to other places, countries to experience other cultures and way of life. This is in turn will open my mind more to be able to serve even more the poor of my village.

David from Kyomya village

David

Here in Uganda, I have been traveling to Kampala city from bweyogerere suburb where I live to have internet. It is 12 kms from where I live to the city where I check my mails from. From where I live to the main road is 2kms and I use a small motorcycle locally called bodaboda. I pay 1000=. then from the main road to Kampala city is between 1500= to 2,000=. when taxis are few or petrol prices high, it goes to 3000= to Kampala. so to and from is between 3000= to 6,000=/day.

During the week, I would have wanted to visit the net daily but cant. so with the little money I can manage 2 or 3 days/week.

During a normal day, I can be on the net for 4 to 5 hrs. one hour is 1,500= so 4 hrs is 6,000= and 5 hrs is Ug.Sh 7,500.

During a day, I take breakfast of 800= and lunch of 2,500=. then will wait for a taxi and go back home. when am in town, I also look through the papers to check for jobs and when I see one that fits me ,I apply and send by post. most of the times, I see jobs I may not apply due to lack of money to post an application.

Note that photocopying my CV, academic certificates that number 18 and postage stamp of 1500= all costs 4,500= per application which is too costly for me as I have no paid job now.

In Kampala city ,there are over 40 internet cafes. Sometimes because of power problem, some that lack generators may not work and so those with generators increase the charges!

David is unemployed for the moment and he has used all his savings to save his people. He needs your support to be able to accomplish this. For this reason, we need to help David save on internet costs, by donating a computer. By helping this village with a computer you help him not only save money but also to be able to keep the kyomya webpage updated in order to help the many orphans he is working so much to save.
You could adopt David, this means you will help him meet the expenses of internet, transport that he needs soo much to be able to find help for this neglected village. If you would be interested, contact us so we can put you into contact with him.
This village is facing so many problems, and there are many ways you can help.Just let us know you are interested in helping them in a way. We will be very happy to put you in touch with David and kyomya village. Don't hesitate, it's now they need you most.
